Based at Holistic Health, 64 Broadway Market. Acupuncture is an important aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which has been practised in China for over 2000 years. TCM theory is rooted in the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang and has a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment. Acupuncture needles are used to activate specific points on the body to remove blockages from channels, promoting harmony and well-being. Clinical trials have shown acupuncture to be particularly effective for pain relief.
Treatments can help: Acupuncture will normally last 30-45 minutes and a course of 3 weekly treatments is often enough. Some patients may require further treatments for more complex, chronic conditions. It is usually painless, and can leave the patient feeling relaxed and refreshed. Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the appointment.
